K4 Games

The truth can’t be ignored that we all are heading towards the ageing. But what’s there to be scared about? This happens to everyone. Once Naomi Campbell said, “I don’t worry about a number. I’m fine with ageing”. Every single person must have that attitude about aging. And with positivity, we can think about ways to lessen the effects of ageing like wrinkles, weakening of muscles, vision defects, hearing defects, etc. One such effect is ‘age spots’.

Age spots are brown or black colored dark spots on the areas of skin which are generally more exposed to sun like at the back of hands, neck, chest and back. These spots are also known as liver spots (although they have nothing to do with liver) or sun spots. To avoid these to appear early, use sunscreen with appropriate rating. Once they starts to appear, everyone has two choices, either consider hiding these spots or to leave them as it is and start living with them. If you want to live with them, then it is ok.

Nobody is going to judge you for this. But if you find these spots ugly and want to get rid of them, then we have got your back. There are so many therapies are being practiced today to remove age spots like laser and intense pulsed light therapy, freezing, dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, ekstata etc. These can cost you a fortune. An inexpensive procedure you can get is by using hydrogen peroxide.

This can help us in dealing with age spots. Hydrogen peroxide is a very pale blue(seems colorless) chemical compound available in the form of liquid. It does not have an odor. It is a great oxidizer, bleaching agent and antiseptic. This is the main reason for using it for age spots.

There are many ways to treat age spots with hydrogen peroxide. We are listing some of the ways which may be helpful.

Treat age spots with hydrogen peroxide

1. Directly apply

Dab a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide directly on the spot. You will feel a burning sensation which is totally normal. No need to worry for this. Make sure you don’t apply that to your remaining skin. After applying, your age stop will appear whitish fir sometimes. With time, the spot will become pinkish or lighter and soon will came off. Wait for few weeks to see them off.

2. Hydrogen peroxide and milk

Take hydrogen peroxide and milk in equal amounts. Quantity should not be more than a teaspoon each. Mix them to make a paste. Now, use a dropper or Q-tip to apply the paste only on the age spots. Leave the other areas of skin. Let the paste dry and keep it on for at least 15 minutes. After that wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat it dry and use a good moisturizer to nourish your skin after the treatment. Do not expect fast results from the treatment. It will take time but soon age spots will vanish without any side effects.

3. Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda

Make a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda a tablespoon each. Now, apply this paste on all over your face. Make sure to avoid areas around eyes. Leave it to dry for 10 minutes. Then wash it off with water. Do not forget to apply a good rating moisturizer after the treatment.

4. Hydrogen peroxide and aloe vera gel

Get one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 2 teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Make them a paste. Use a cotton pad to dab it over your age spots. Let the paste do its magic for 10 minutes. Now, rinse it off with water. Treat your skin with good rating moisturizer to nourish.

5. Hydrogen peroxide and Vitamin E capsules

Take Hydrogen peroxide and vitamin E in the ratio of 1:2 i.e. take twice the amount of vitamin E in comparison to the amount of hydrogen peroxide. Mix them well and turn into a paste. Again, use a cotton pad to apply the mixture on to the age spots. Wash your face with water after 10 minutes. Pat your skin to dry and then apply good amount of moisturizer.

Hydrogen peroxide has acidic nature. So, do not try to use its concentrated form. It is very dangerous. It should always be handled with care. Always use aqueous solution of 3% to 12% of hydrogen peroxide. Make sure not use it daily or very frequently.

All these remedies should be tried once or twice a week. Not more or less than this. The most important thing to consider after each remedy is to load your skin with good amount of moisturizer. This will help in further occurrence of age spots. During this whole treatment, try to avoid going out in sun. If you can’t avoid the situation, use sunscreen with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) at least above 30.

If you suffer any complications or irritation, go to your dermatologist as soon as possible without wait. Try to take care of your skin starting early, why to wait for aging.
